|About Us At Wines of Interest we select wines from producers - often on a small scale - who make their wines with dedication and passion. The true variety and quality of such growers is becoming swamped by the bland monoculture of the high street. Here listings are being seriously reduced and what remains consists largely of those big brand names who can afford to buy their way into the prime display areas of the multiples and supermarkets. However, the independent wine merchant is the engine room of the trade. It is where passionate winemaking finds its outlet, where enthusiasm governs buying decisions rather than accountancy and where innovation and individuality are championed. Above all, we at Wines of Interest are here to ensure that interested customers like you can find the sort of choice, quality and personal service that you're looking for.|
You can read our full Terms & Conditions below, but here's the main points that you may like to be aware of:
1. You get a 5% discount for orders of 12 (or more) qualifying bottles (which is almost everything we list).
2. Delivery usually costs no more than £10 per order depending on where you are, and whether we can deliver using our own vehicles, or have to use a national carrier.
3. For many orders delivery will be less than £10, or FREE (click the "delivery" tab above for details). We do not offer evening or weekend deliveries.
4. Deliveries will be left without a signature unless we are otherwise instructed. Please provide details of a safe location where your goods may be left should you be out. If a signature is required please let us know.
5. Any shortages or breakages must be reported within 3 days of delivery.
6. If any item you order is unavailable, we will contact you before sending your order.
7. We are happy to refund or exchange any unopened bottles you may wish to return as long as they are in re-saleable condition, though the cost of transportation for their return will be at your expense.
8. We don't share your personal details with anyone else.
9. You must be over 18 years of age to order from us.
10. We want you to be happy with your purchase so if you have any questions or concerns please just get in touch.
|Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our selection, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Check Out" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. All prices include VAT at the current rate. Discounts are available when buying 12, or more, bottles of a particular line though for items already discounted, older wines, and those in short supply, a single price applies regardless of quantity. You must be aged 18, or over, to purchase alcohol from us.|
|Shipping And Handling Free delivery is available via our own vehicles throughout most IP and CO postcodes as well as some NR areas. Our van is in these areas once a week on set days. A modest charge is made for smaller orders. To reduce your delivery charge, or qualify for free delivery in these areas just try ordering a bit more! Our local delivery costs are based on postcode areas and we do recognise that some customers who are just outside one boundary could incur a higher delivery charge as a result. If you think this is you please get in touch. Our aim is to keep the costs of delivery down and we will help if we can. If you would like an estimated date and/or time of delivery please ask and we will try and help. Deliveries to the rest of mainland England & Wales are made by contract carrier normally within 5 working days, but if you require your goods by a particular date please be sure to make let us know. Cost depends on the value of your order but orders over £150 in value are delivered free. Please provide details of the location where you would like your goods to be left should nobody be available to sign for the delivery. A signature will not be required for goods sent by our carriers unless you specify otherwise. In the event that a signature is required and the delivery cannot be made at the first attempt (if the recipient is out for instance and no instructions have been provided to leave the goods somewhere safe) a card will be left by the carrier requesting that the recipient contact them to re-arrange the delivery. It is important that this card is responded to quickly since failure to do so will mean that the order is sent back to us. In the event that the goods are returned to us following at least two unsuccessful attempts to deliver, we will refund the value of the goods less the cost the the return transport to us. We reserve the right to charge the for re-delivery of orders that have been unsuccessful due to incorrect address information being supplied by the customer. Whilst we make every effort to deliver orders quickly and before any requested deadline, we will not be liable if we fail to do so due to circumstances beyond our control. All orders over £150 per delivery address are delivered free within mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland. Delivery to the Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland are charged at cost. We do not deliver to UK offshore addresses or outside the UK|
|Delivery Schedule Deliveries are made during business hours either by our own vehicles or by contract carrier depending on your location. Our own vehicles cover most IP, CO and some NR postcode areas at least once a week. Neither Wines of Interest, nor our carriers, can accept responsibility for any loss or damage to the goods as a result of following your instructions. Please note that proof of age may also be required upon delivery. Evening and weekend deliveries are not currently available. Please inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and notify us of any shortage or damage within 3 days. In the absence of any notification within 3 days the shortage, damage or any other deficiency will be deemed to have occurred after delivery to you.|
|Back Orders We will contact you should any items from your order not be immediately available. We will let you know when (and if) the item(s) concerned are likely to be available again or help you select an alternative. Vintages move on from time to time and we reserve the right to change vintage without notice. However, when we move to a follow-on vintage you can rest assured that we have tasted it ourselves and are happy with its quality. Details such as ABV % and suitability for vegetarians and/or vegans are provided in good faith and may also change between different vintages and/or shipments. Please check with us first for up to date details should these be of particular importance to you.|
|Tax Charges All prices include VAT at the current rate where applicable.|
|Credit Card Security Payment by card is handled by a secure payment service provider.|
|Guarantee We personally taste and select our wines and believe that each one of them is good of its kind and at its price. But if you find that one you have bought from us is not to your personal taste you may return to us any unopened bottles and we will give you a full refund or credit for those - providing that you notify us of your intention to return in writing within 7 days of receipt of the goods. If a wine is corked or faulty we will replace or refund the bottle upon its return to us for testing. A higher level of subjectivity applies to wines of increasing age and we are unable to offer refund or replacement on opened bottles that are not actually faulty but are simply not to the customer's taste. Returns requiring collection by us, or our carriers, will be subject to a collection charge.|
