This Pinot Noir is bright ruby red, with aromas of fresh raspberries which continue onto the palate with fine tannins and gentle balancing acidity.  This comes from the Pays Cathare which surrounds the towns of Limoux and Carcassonne which benefits from warm Mediterranean sunshine tempered by altitude and cooler nights.  These are ideal grape growing conditions resulting in slower ripening and wines of complexity and finesse.  The Haute Vallee de l'Aude is one of the few regions left in France that remains underappreciated, lesser known and consequently offers great value wines.
