Characteristically dry and surgically clean, this super estate has made Muscadet of rather more weight and plenty of depth. This has that characteristic Muscadet "prickle" and is nicely ripe though dry and crisp with that classic hint of minerality and marine freshness.
Christophe and Cédric Gobin at Domaine Gobin Frères, who cultivate 58 hectares in sustainable agriculture (‘culture raissonnée’) on various terroirs of which Château de La Bigotière on gneiss, is a part, the vines here having an average age of 40 years.
