From the sunny Cotes de Castillon on Bordeaux's right bank, this 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon is pretty much the ideal mix for these chalky/clay soils. It is deep red in colour with a plummy nose and plenty of dark fruit on the palate. Classic claret at a friendly price.
