Les Entrecoeurs refers to a viticultural process that involves going through the vineyard each summer and removing the superfluous lateral shoots so that the energy of the vine is concentrated into those that remain.  It ensures that the vine is encouraged to grow fruit of quality and concentration rather than quantity.  It shows in the final wine.

This is pure Syrah and very dark in colour.  It has that classic Syrah nose of violets and deep black fruit which follows through to a palate of depth and concentration with a lush texture and firming tannins.  There is real style and authenticity here and a finish of class and length.
