Vina Esmeralda has been around for ages and is just as good as ever. My wife and I chose it to serve at our wedding in 1994 because of its wonderfully open fruit and wonderful fragrance, and subsequent vintages were equally delicious. It then fell off my radar as Miguel Torres wines started showing up in supermarkets so we stopped.
However, the UK importer has an offer running on it for a few weeks (which I suspect is to try and shuffle through the 2024 to make space for the 2025) so I weakened and bought a few cases for old times' sake. It's a blend of 85% Moscato and 15% Gewurztraminer and without the offer would be on our shelves at about £13.00. It's wonderfully fresh and fragrant with a clean crisp finish.
