Three Portuguese reds, from three different regions and representing six different grape varieties which are well worth exploring... Tinta Barroca (right...), Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo - ok), Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional (er...), Cabernet Sauvignon (phew!) and Baga (huh?).
Quinta do Quatro Ventos Tinto 2022, Douro 13.0% - A blend of three different red varieties all of which are used in the production of Port. Think blackberry and gentle vanilla spice and a roast leg of spring lamb.
Terra Boa Old Vine Red 2023, Vinho Regional Terras da Beira 13.0% - More bramble, more spice and a hint of cherry. Beiras sits to the south of the Douro and this is one of our best value reds.
Alianca Reserva 2023, Bairrada 13.0% - Bairrada is a sub region of Beiras but now an independent DOC. This is a savoury red with hedgerow fruit.
