A mix of unfermented grape juice (80% Colombard and 20% Ugni Blanc) with the addition of Cognac. Grapey, rich, clean and pure. Utterly delicious!

The Vallet family has been producing estate bottled Cognac & Pineau at Château Montifaud for six generations. They have recently enlarged their property by buying 3 estates in Petite Champagne, totalling 30ha, in order to guarantee supply for their growing demand, so that they now have 120ha of vineyards. They have 58ha in ‘La Petite Champagne d’Archaic’ in the heart of the cognac region. The calcareous and chalky soil here is similar to that of the south ‘La Grande Champagne’, where they have a further 32ha, an essential for producing high quality Cognac.
