100% old vine Grenache from three parcels of vines that are 80-90 years old.  Each parcel is hand picked and vinified separately with wild yeasts and a temperature controlled fermentation with the wine then spending 12 months in French oak before the final selection and blend is put together.

The black cherry fruit leaps out of the glass and there's some gentle sweet spice hints there too.  This is full and flavoursome in the mouth again with black cherry fruit and some gentle oak hints.  A rich and warming red showing power and complexity.  Try this with anything full and rich such as casseroles, BBQ meats, firm and flavoursome cheeses, perhaps even a rich curry or spicy pasta.  Would also work well with mushroom or hearty root vegetable dishes.
