Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022 making this a 12 year old Speyside single malt whisky.  The distillery is located in the town on Keith and dates back to 1891.  The bulk of Strathmill's production tends to be used for blended whiskies so single malts from Strathmill can be difficult to find.  Here though is a non-chill filtered independent bottling by Mossburn.  We were allowed only a few bottles.

This whisky has been aged in virgin European oak casks.  On the nose there are hints of spice and vanilla leading to a palate showing elements of toffee, oak and spice.
