This Speyside is a blend of Single Malts from Speyside, obviously, matured first in 200 litre American standard barrels and given a second maturation period in 500 litre casks using staves from Oloroso Sherry butts. The heads of the second casks are made from well charred American oak. The finished Whisky is rich with a note of fruit from the Oloroso staves and a spicy influence from the American oak, with vanilla and depth coming from the charred heads.
