This 100% Merlot has a black cherry and bramble nose with just a tiny hint of blackcurrant leaf. In the mouth it shows ripe and round plummy fruit with firm tannins and a velvety finish which means it's great with food. Try with lamb dishes or grilled Mediterranean vegetables.  Would also be great with a hunk of decent cheese, a coarse pate or a rustic salami.
