A round a rich Barossa Shiraz with gentle oak. The fruit is picked in the early morning to preserve freshness and fermented in stainless steel for 7-10 days after which it spends 12 months in both new and used French oak before a final blending takes place. This is full and rich with blueberry, plum and red fruit flavours and a firm backbone with gentle toasted oak hints. My original tasting notes featured the words "clever" and "sophisticated"... It's a wine that regularly wins awards.
