Falanghina 2024, Montecalvo, Benevento, Campania 12.5%

If memory serves this is the first wine we've ever listed from Campania and it makes sense that it's Falanghina - an indigenous Campania variety grown on the limestone soils in the cool provided by 300-400m of altitude.  Falanghina almost disappeared in the 20th century but has experienced something of a revival in recent times, with good reason.  Hints of honeysuckle come through on the nose with elements of citrus and ripe pineapple in the background.  If you're bored with bland Pinot Grigio and one-dimensional Sauvignon Blanc (we don't sell either, but they do exist) then try this!  It would be great with grilled fish and shellfish, fried seafood, light pasta dishes or a Caesar salad.
