A gentle nose of black fruit and a little spice.  A soft, round palate with straightforward but true flavours making this a thoroughly drinkable, easy red.  There is a meaning in the name "Dry River"... water is important for vines, but too much leads to a loss of concentration in the grapes and a lack of flavour in the finished wine.  Despite its relatively modest price this still has plenty of flavour.  Now made to 11.0% alcohol for those looking for reds with a little less booze.  If you're looking for a big bold Aussie Shiraz this isn't it because it's made in a lighter style.
