When the sun shines you need fragrant and refreshing whites.  Here are three very different wines that do that job.  Three different grape varieties and three different countries.  These are fresh, dry, aromatic whites to make you sit up and take notice!  There's no oak here at all. One bottle each of the following:

Dry Muscat 2024, Bodegas Juan Gil, Jumilla, Spain 13.0% - If there's one variety in the world that makes wine that actually smells of grapes it's Muscat!  Here fermented dry for a wonderfully grapey fresh dry white.

Altano Branco 2024, Symington Family, Douro, Portugal 12.5% - This shows you just how excellent modern Portuguese wines can be.  This also has a hint of Muscat in a blend of other native Portuguese white varieties.  It's grapey, but there's a good whack of citrus here as well, backed by some fresh minerality.

Uva Non Grata Gros Manseng 2024, Vin de France 11.5% - What a fabulously original wine!  It comes from Gascony but is labelled as the more flexible Vin de France.  It has flavours of tropical fruits - pineapple especially - and it's ever-so-slightly off-dry which makes it totally addictive!
