Youthful with vivid, deep flavours and vigorous, concentrated fruit, this is fat and intense - a brilliant modern expression of Barossa Shiraz.

This Shiraz is sourced from the finest available vineyard sites across the premium Northern Barossa Valley. It is aged 11 months in a variety of oaks, all American and French, new and old, around 35% new. As usual with Smalltown Vineyards, it was fermented in open fermenters. The grapes are crushed in such as way as to extract the generouus Shiraz fruit without any hard tannins.

This is packed with dark fruit and black pepper flavours.  It's a serious glass of Shiraz with clever use of oak to highlight the fruit and bring a long and warming finish.  Dark and complex.  Fans of big, flavoursome reds should tuck in!
