100% Nebbiolo from 30 year old vines on the Langhe hills around the town of Alba.  This has fine red fruit flavours with a touch of spice.  It spends a small amount of time in oak to enhance the fruit and bring the spicy element to the palate.  Nebbiolo is known for red wines that are light in colour but generous in both aroma and flavour.  This has notes of cherries and violets and would work well with rich pasta dishes, char-grilled vegetables and mature hard cheeses.
