The vineyards of Maranges, granted their own AOC status in 1988, interlock with those of neighbouring Santenay at the very southern end of the Cote de Beaune. Both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown here. The sixth generation of the family is now in charge making a range of Burgundies with their own distinctive house style.
This is a fine example of Pinot Noir made from old vines with fresh summer fruit flavours and a gentle hint of smoke.
