The second wine of Château la Pointe situated on the classic clay/gravel terroir of the Isle river terrace in Pomerol and a blend of 84% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc from the warm 2018 vintage. Hubert de Boüard consults here for both the Grand Vin and this second wine and the style is properly plush and intense with velvet smooth tannins and long finish.  Despite the difficulties that some properties had in 2018 because of the higher rainfall earlier in the year and resultant mildew problems, Chateau La Pointe coped exceptionally.  Please click here for more details.
