This is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo) and 30% Jaen (aka Mencia). The Dao region sits to the south of the Douro and inland from Bairrada and 80% of the production is red wine. This is a savoury red with flavours of red and black fruits and gentle tannins. It spends 12 months in 2nd fill oak to enhance the fruit flavours.
