Owned by brothers Jean-Claude and Philippe Lambert (and now managed by brother and sister Matthieu & Perrine) the domaine, based in Sablet, was created in 1935 by their grandfather and now covers 87 hectares. In recent years they have restructured the vineyard, planting more Syrah (for colour and aroma) and Mourvedre (for structure), so that today they are planted with 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and Cinsault, Carignan, Merlot and Marselan with an average age of 30 years, but with some 60 year old vines. An eco friendly culture is employed in the vineyard and organic fertilizer used. Grapes are all destemmed. This Vaucluse is from the pebbly, sandy soils on the plain below Sablet and is rich and juicy being 50% Merlot, 25% Syrah and 25% Marselan (a cross of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon).
