Minerally nose with whiffs of gunflint. Lean, racy and fresh.
Alain has now been joined by his son Loïc, who is now fully in charge of the vineyards. Today a top Parker Domaine, this is rightly a very serious source of Pouilly. They have changed the name from “Les Cornets” to “Nanogyra” after the shellfish found in the heavier, Kimmeridgian marl soils around Pouilly-sur-Loire, which makes a fleshy style of Pouilly Fumé. Alain has built a new cuverie and chai which enables him to work totally by gravity and with a lot more room. They are now certified Terra Vitis which has then intention to produce high quality grapes which express the terroir and the know-how of wine growers in ecologically healthier ways with a view to preserving the environment and human health.
