This dynamic domaine is generally recognised as the finest in the village. François and Isabelle Lumpp have 6.5 hectares under vine. All the vineyards were re-planted with the finest material and very close spacing over the last 20 years, after François split from the family domaine. Viticulture is fanatical and yields are kept very low. All the grapes are handpicked and there is a further, severe selection prior to vinification.
The reds are sublime, pure, poised and beautifully balanced. The whites, which are all barrel fermented, are simply stunning and amongst the finest in the Chalonnaise.
