The first vintage of Fleurie from Manoir du Carra who acquired a 1.5 hectare plot there and have bought more since. The vines are over 50 years old and this is classic Fleurie, lush and satisfying.

The Sambardier family now have 35 hectares of vineyards with the 19ha of Villages on exceptionally exposed granite slopes in the southern Beaujolais hills above Denicé, where they have been for generations. The superb ‘Cuvée Non Filtré’ is produced from 70-100 year old vines. After a 10-12 day ‘maceration carbonique’ it is aged in foudres and bottled without filtration. Their vineyard holdings in the Crus all of which are over 50 yrs old are 4ha in Juliénas, 2ha in Moulin-à-Vent, 1.5ha in Brouilly on its pink granite soil, and 6ha of Fleurie. They are unfiltered with deep colour and great intensity.
