White Rhones are a bit like someone else's sense of humour; you either get it or you don't. This is dry, full, fresh and best drunk young. Though this wine is aged in cask for 6 months so the oak is hardly noticeable. Quite delicious.
Before the Revolution, one of the Revoltier family was fief at Fargueirol, with the right to bear a sword. After the Revolution the family had to move and it was nearly 200 years later, in 1974 that Joseph Revoltier bought the property including 10ha of vines. It has increased to 30ha of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 10ha of Cotes du Rhone. Today Romain Revoltier is cellarmaster. The white is a blend of 35% Roussanne, 40% Clairette and 25% Grenache Blanc.
