Long standing working relationships with growers enable us to source premium fruit, with the ultimate aim of making excellent quality Australian house wines with true style and character. Mendoza clone Chardonnay from the Franklin River region of south west Australia, crucially Southern Ocean not Indian Ocean in influence. The grapes are picked at night/dawn to keep them as cool as possible. Grapes were picked earlier than usual for this area to ensure balance and freshness in the final wine. They are gently crushed to maintain the bright, fresh flavours crucial to the clonal tang. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel retains the fresh fruit character of this 100% un-oaked wine.
