Warre's top property provides the basis for all their vintage ports. In years without general declaration it makes a superb single quinta wine. Full, rounded and seductive and drinking well now.
Founded in 1670, Warre's is the oldest british Port House and has remained a family owned company throughout its long history.
The backbone of Warre's Ports are made at Quinta da Cavadinha in the Pinhao valley, and at the historic vineyard of Quinta do Retiro Antigo in the Rio Torto valley. Recently, the magnificent Quinta da Telhada in the far eastern stretches of the Douro has been acquired for Warre's and provides some of its finest grapes.
