The Campbell family winemaking heritage began in 1870 when Scotsman John Campbell made his first wine. Following a severe outbreak of phylloxera and determined to maintain the business, John's son David introduced phylloxera resistant rootstocks and by 1930 eighteen hectares of vines were flourishing. Today, the 5th generation of the family are in charge with 64 hectares under vine.
