Prettily pale, vivacious and full of gentle raspberry fruit, this dry, pink sparkler is a great picnic lubricant.
This is what used to be called Pink Prosecco, but no longer can be. Here's why.
On Saint Valentine's Day in 1950, one hundred and twenty-one wine farmers in the Breganze district joined forces to create a new agricultural co-operative. They named the co-operative after a local figure Bartolomeo da Breganze, The Cantine was set up with the intention of strengthening the hands of the wine growers and to improve the quality and reputation of Breganze wines - this it has succeeded in doing but it is not complacent and improvement is still one of their main aims. Breganze is an ancient centre of grape cultivation in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto.
