It has taken a while to grow this section, even to this modest size, but here's why…. For a start our customers show less interest in this section than any other which makes investment risky. Next, at the bottom end of the American market, there are nothing but toxic brands to choose from: hell will freeze over before any of these are allowed in. At higher levels there is relatively little good value to be found, with some staggeringly optimistic prices being demanded for acceptable, but unremarkable wines. De Loach bridge the gap very successfully with fresh clean fruit and no residual sweetness, showing concise, varietal characters. Cuvaison take it up a couple of gears, with greater concentration and super class.
